Christopher L. Green
Until recently, Chris Green was the one filing the charges. Now he defends against them.
Background
Chris is a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law. He most recently served as a prosecutor for the Thirteenth Judicial District Attorney’s Office, handling cases that ranged from driving while intoxicated to drug crimes. Before that he worked for the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions, investigating and deciding wage claim disputes.
The Thirteenth Judicial District covers Valencia, Sandoval, and Cibola Counties — which means the office that charges cases in Belen, Los Lunas, Rio Rancho, and Bernalillo is one he worked inside.
Why that history is the point
He has read the reports these cases are built on, sat through the calendar calls, and watched which arguments New Mexico judges actually find persuasive. He knows which files get careful attention and which get moved along.
When he tells you an offer is worth taking — or worth refusing — that judgement is informed by experience evaluating those same decisions from the other side of the table.
How the firm works
This is a small practice on purpose. You work with the attorney handling your case, not an intake coordinator who passes messages along.
Most people who call have never needed a lawyer before. That changes how the first conversation should go: fewer assumptions, more explaining, and an honest read on what you are facing rather than the version that closes a sale.

Common questions
Will I be working with you or with a paralegal?
With Chris. Support staff handle scheduling and documents; the attorney handles the case, the hearings, and the questions.
Do you handle cases outside criminal and family law?
The practice is focused on these two areas on purpose. If your matter falls elsewhere, the consultation will point you toward someone who does that work.
